Irrigation repair
in West Sacramento.
West Sacramento runs the tightest confirmed irrigation code on our map. The watering schedule is permanent rather than drought-triggered, the repair clock is seventy-two hours, and the penalty is written to land on the owner of the property regardless of who actually broke the rule.
The rules that apply to your address
West Sacramento water rules.
City code defines water waste to include failure to fix leaks or faulty irrigation within seventy-two hours of discovery. Operating an irrigation system that sprays an impervious surface, or that is in disrepair, is separately prohibited.
Odd addresses: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Even addresses: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. No outdoor watering on Monday. This is permanent and year-round — effective June 2022, Municipal Code 13.04.790 — not a drought stage.
No irrigation between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. No irrigation during or within 48 hours after measurable rainfall.
Within any 12-month period: the first and second violations carry no penalty (warning notice), the third is $200, and the fourth and each one after is $500. Code states penalties are imposed on the owner of the premises regardless of who committed the violation.
Low-volume irrigation — drip, container plants, Special Landscape Areas — is exempt from both the assigned days and the hours window entirely. This is the strongest case for Option 03 anywhere on our map: converting spray to drip here is a compliance change, not only an efficiency one.
