Zone C · Placer County Water Agency (Loomis Basin) — some parcels on wells or canal water
Irrigation repair
in Loomis.
Loomis lots are big, and the water comes from three places. Most homes are on PCWA’s treated Loomis Basin system; a fair number of rural parcels irrigate from PCWA’s untreated canal water or a private well, which means no district rules at all and no district looking for leaks either. We start by finding out which one you are on, because on a well a leak does not show up on any bill — it shows up as a pump that never stops.
The rules that apply to your address
Loomis water rules.
PCWA treated water follows the Rocklin rules below. PCWA untreated (canal) water is billed by the season, not the unit, and PCWA offers a tank rebate up to $1,000 for storing it. A private well has no schedule and no rebates — and no meter to warn you.
Three tiers for 2026: the first 900 cubic feet at $2.26 per unit, the next 1,900 at $2.72, and everything above 2,800 at $2.97, plus fixed monthly charges. On a Loomis-sized lot a system runs through the first tier quickly, so a leak is usually billed at the top rate.
None assigned under normal supply. Limits arrive only with a declared shortage stage — three days a week from Stage 2, with irrigation kept to 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.; drip, hand-watering and smart controllers are exempt from the daytime ban. No stage is posted for 2026.
72 hours from discovery, at every stage. PCWA can add a water-waste charge or shut off service for continued waste.
Smart controller up to $250, irrigation efficiency upgrades up to $500, lawn replacement $3 per square foot up to $3,000, leak repair up to $1,000, untreated-water tank up to $1,000. First-come and funding-dependent.
