Zone B · Placer County Water Agency
Irrigation repair
in Rocklin.
Rocklin is on Placer County Water Agency, which does something unusual: it assigns no watering days unless a shortage stage is declared. That freedom is exactly why Rocklin controllers drift — nobody ever had to set them to a schedule, so most are still running whatever the installer typed in. The leak rule is the opposite of relaxed.
The rules that apply to your address
Rocklin water rules.
Three tiers for 2026: the first 900 cubic feet at $2.26 per unit, the next 1,900 at $2.72, and everything above 2,800 at $2.97, on top of two fixed monthly charges. A leak that carries you over a tier line is billed at the higher rate for every unit past it.
None assigned under normal supply. PCWA’s shortage plan brings in limits only from Stage 2 — three days a week in July through September — then two days at Stage 3 and one at Stage 4. No stage is posted for 2026.
No time-of-day rule until a stage is declared; at Stage 2 and above irrigation is confined to 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and drip, hand-watering and smart-controller systems are exempt from that daytime ban.
72 hours from discovery — and this one applies at every stage, including normal. PCWA’s rules also carry a water-waste charge and can shut off service for continued waste.
The most generous on our map, first-come and funding-dependent: smart controller up to $250, irrigation efficiency upgrades up to $500, lawn replacement $3 per square foot up to $3,000, and a leak-repair rebate up to $1,000 — the only district here that will help pay for the fix itself.
